Oral and dental diseases are very common in animals, but mostly go unnoticed and cause animals to suffer in pain silently and have a poor quality of life. To diagnose oral and dental diseases appropriately, detailed oral examination and dental radiographs must be performed with the animal under general anaesthesia. In selected cases, advanced imaging, such as computed tomography (CT) may be required.
